St Malachy Catholic School opened in the fall of 1948 with the help of Fr. Paul Early, who was a mover and shaker and the pastor of St Malachy Catholic Church at the time. The first day of school began in September 13, 1948 with a total of 304 students from grades one through seven. The school was staffed by four religious Ursuline Sisters of the Roman Order and two lay teachers. The eight grade class was added the following year, increasing enrollment to 397 students.
Over the years, St Malachy Catholic School has flourished into what is now-an additional building that houses our Preschool, Kindergarten and First Graders, a Library/Computer Lab Room and a state of the art playground.
More than 200 students are enrolled in grades Preschool through eigth that attend Saint Malachy Catholic School. A dedicated staff of 20, parent and community are committed to fostering the growth of each individual-spiritually, intellectually, socially, and psychologically.
Over the last 59 years, 1,500 students have graduated from St Malachy Catholic School Each has left as a lifelong learner, spiritually alive individual, servant leader, responsible decision maker and as a self-driven dreamer.
