St. Malachy students who long for additional rigorous opportunities, are encourage to participate and join the Decathlon Team. Students are exposed to challenging subjects such as Religion, Science, Language Art, Social Studies, Math, Logic, Current Events and the overall Super Quiz. St Malachy students have the opportunity to compete within the deneary as well as several other schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
In joining the Decathlon team students strive to develop a strong sense of character, leadership, motivation, and perseverance.
